FUNtastic Five!
Plants for fun? Remember as a kid playing outside where a single twig or a piece of leaf caught your imagination for hours? Bring your child, and let's play and explore again!
Tan Geok Kuan has taught and published about local edible plants. Come spend an afternoon with her and learn to interact with these plants using your five senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste.
During the 2.5 hour workshop at the airy and tranquil Sing See Soon garden centre, you and your child will engage in various hands-on activities, including turning a leaf into a delicate leaf-skeleton book mark, and pairing a heritage local herb that isn’t commonly available with ingredients widely found in supermarkets.
Through these activities, Geok Kuan hopes to broaden your understanding and appreciation of these plants, and be open to incorporating them in you and your family's daily life.

Your trainer is Geok Kuan, a plant enthuasiast who is self taught, and published a Mandarin self illustrated book on local edible plants. Participants can buy her book at a special workshop rate of $15 (usual: $22.50).
